This CD represents the realization of a long time dream of Mike and myself to record the lyrical and romantic side of Hermeto's music. Over the period of a few years we picked several of his pieces, most of which had never been recorded before, and gave them our best interpretation, focusing on the deep musical interaction among the musicians. It is mostly a duo record, but on a few tracks we were joined by percussion masters John Santos, Michael Spiro and Aaron Johnston. As a blessing to the project, Hermeto himself honored us by participating, playing bass flute and melodica on 2 tracks.
